Pine Tree Equity Generates 6.7x on First 7 Exits

Pine Tree Equity has generated 6.7x or a 69.2% IRR on its first 7 exits. Pine Tree Equity, based in Miami, FL, is a private equity firm focused on the investment in and expansion of small capitalization companies – with revenue of $10.0 million to $50.0 million – in partnership with founding management. The firm is investing out of its third fund, and has committed capital.

Since its inception in January 2007, Pine Tree Equity has closed 30 acquisitions with founding entrepreneurs in a variety of industries, including consumer, business, financial and healthcare services. Despite the most challenging market, Pine Tree has never had an impairment or a loss of capital. Its track record is extremely consistent while delivering substantial returns on realized investments. Moreover, entrepreneurs and management teams have generated an even greater return of 9.1x rolled equity via a combination of both capital appreciation on rolled equity and Pine Tree Equity’s option program.

“We previously reported in January 2015 that Pine Tree Equity had generated 5.6x or a 62.3% IRR on its first five exists.  We have extended those exceptional returns with two additional sales of Community Medical and Bradley Morris,” said Jeff Settembrino, Pine Tree’s Managing Partner.  “We feel strongly about sharing both our references and our track record as testament to how we work with our partners, and what we do for our partners, respectively.  We listen first to the wishes of the entrepreneur, and we act second, which allows us to structure deals that satisfy their needs while delivering results with speed, certainty and in line with our initial commitments.  We want to be known for doing exactly what we say we will do.”
